Challenge

CEVA Logistics required an experienced team to establish two new national logistics distribution centres in Western Australia and Victoria. This project posed significant geographical and strategic challenges, which demonstrated our team’s expertise in property advisory, project delivery strategy, development management, contract superintendent and project design management services. A major requirement was finding substantial site areas suitable for extensive vehicle storage, a critical component for the logistics centres.

Furthermore, the client’s intention to purchase each property at the end of the development added an additional layer of complexity. This necessitated a robust and forward-thinking approach to ensure the developments not only met the immediate logistical needs but also aligned with the client’s long-term property ownership goals.

Outcome

The outcome of the Victorian project for CEVA Logistics was remarkable. It became the largest single-use logistics centre in the southern hemisphere at the time of its completion. This achievement is a testament to the successful navigation of the project’s complexities and the effective implementation of a strategic development approach.
